The Universe discussion thread showed there was intended characterization planned but never implemented beyond individual quotes. I enjoy both but I feel the newer characters lack personality. I was previously asking around in the various TF Universe threads to guage support for some TF Universe inspired 3P toys but it seemed nobody was interested.īut then again, do you guys like the TF Universe characters (the newbies like Macro, Outsider etc) or you just like established G1 characters with the TF Universe aesthetic? I wasn't sure there were any fans out there. I'm glad you guys have some love for these characters from TF Universe and for toys of these guys. If the servers were too expensive to maintain, why not just re-work it into a single player game and charge ten bucks for a download? At least they'd have made some of their money back, instead of essentially throwing it away. I can't begin to imagine how much it must have cost to make all this art, the 3D models and environments, the soundtrack, the coding, etc. It's weird to me that cancelling the game was even viable. Based on the beta, I'd probably rank it among my favorite modern Transformers media. It's really a shame this game was cancelled. In my opinion, they have one of the strongest cool factors in the brand. And most of the Prime robots reused the same 3 transformation schemes. I've always said that Prime had 3 different body types…light, medium, and bruiser.

They're reminiscent of Prime, but they feel more varied. I could use a bit more detail (not Bayverse-level detail, just something to break up the plainness). Aside from the Prime-style faces, I still think they look too plain and are weirdly proportioned.
